It feels good to have an answer. It is also easy to get attached to it before the problem is fully understood. I try to leave room for the question that makes the answer better.

Curiosity is a practical habit. Ask someone to walk you through their experience. Try the thing yourself. Notice the part that does not fit the neat story you were telling.

Building, brand work, and storytelling all involve paying attention to people. The more carefully you listen, the less you have to guess about what matters to them.

I also value a sense of humour. It helps lower the temperature, makes room for a different perspective, and reminds everyone that we are people figuring things out together.

The aim is to keep moving while staying open to being surprised. There is always another useful question, and usually someone worth asking it with.
